2000 years ago, the Roman’s sourced the luxurious limestone Travertine, from quarries in the nearby town of Tivoli. Its ageless beauty has inspired, sculptors, architects, and designers for centuries, notably at the Trevi fountain in Rome, Sacre-Coeur in Paris and St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. To achieve the swirling patterns of Cross-Cut Travertine the stone mason cuts across the veining, rather than with the veining, creating this stunning, classic stone. Canyon channels this unique look, in a cost effective design solution.
